The Whispering Debut With Part 1 EP, Full Album Coming

Los Angeles heavy metal outfit The Whispering have arrived with The Whispering Part 1, a four-track EP previewing their forthcoming self-titled full-length, due fall 2026 via LAG Records. The roster behind this debut turns heads: Dirk Verbeuren of Megadeth and Tobias Kellgren of Dissection split drum duties, with Loic Colin of Scarve holding down bass. The title track video is out now.

The Whispering centers on Lucian Fhor, a vocalist and guitarist who has spent years producing and performing with world-famous circus troupes, including Cirque du Soleil, and has appeared at venues and festivals across the US, Canada, Australia, China, the UK, and Europe. The band swings a heavy musical pendulum between wicked metal and alternative metal, with raw power, precision, and lyrics that challenge the status quo.

The self-titled full-length was recorded throughout 2025 at Studio Besco in Paris, France, produced by industry veteran Dan McConomy and engineered by Mohammad “Momo” Sadeghin. Mastering comes from Randy Merrill at Sterling Sound. The EP draws four of the album’s ten tracks.

Verbeuren stepped into the project when Kellgren was unavailable during the recording window, reuniting with bassist Loic Colin, his collaborator across more than two decades in bands including Scarve, One Way Mirror, and Watcha. Kellgren, a Swedish cult figure whose credits include Dissection, Wolf, Soulreaper, Sacramentum, and In Flames, serves as the band’s touring drummer. Additional vocals on the EP come from The Sisters Spellbound.

The Whispering releases through their own LAG Records imprint, distributed digitally by The Orchard worldwide via Bigger Management. Vinyl, CD, and merchandise licensing deals are forthcoming.
