Making my way to Oakland via the BART, I was super excited to return to the Fox Theater for a night of metal. Heading out extra early, not wanting to miss any of the Bands, I met up with my bro and one of our best West Coast correspondence Pags ,I hadn’t seen in a year and a half in person, and I am so glad we got to reconnect and hang before the big night. Bay Area icons Machine Head have sharpened their sound into its most direct and impactful form with the release of their eleventh album, UNATØNED. For months Machine Head has been teasing a new album, sharing bits from the studio, and in their emails to their fan club. Now the band has shared a new single “Unbound” – streaming only on satellite radio station Sirius/XM Radio via their “Liquid Metal Show” on Monday, February, 17th, 2025. The single and video will hit all platforms on February 18th. Machine Head’s new album has popped up on Spotify and is titled Unatoned, with similar artwork and title to 2022’s exceptional OF KINGDOM AND CROWN (Imperium Recordings/Nuclear Blast Records).
