A Biopic Based on Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver) Has Been Optioned Based on his Memoirs 


According to a published report by The Hollywood Reporter, a biopic on Scott Weiland, the tragic late singer of Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, The Wildabouts and his solo material, is in the works. Dark Pictures and Orian Williams have acquired the book rights to “Not Dead & Not For Sale”, Weiland’s memoir that was written with David Ritz. Jennifer Erwin, who co-founded Dark Pictures with Anne Beagan and is said to be a “diehard” STP fan, will pen the script for the film adaptation of Weiland’s life. The book was a “warts and all” depiction of Weiland’s life

“Florida’s Biggest Rock Experience” is back as Welcome To Rockville has announced its lineup for 2021. The fest is now four days and takes place for the first time later in the year in November 11-14 At Daytona International Speedway In Daytona Beach, Florida. SUSPECT208 the group comprised of the songs of famous musicians has parted ways with its frontman Noah Weiland, the son of late Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland. The band, which includes drummer London Hudson (18-year-old son of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash) and 16-year-old bassist Tye Trujillo (son of Metallica bass player Robert Trujillo), shared a post a new vocalist. ALBUM REVIEW: Stone Temple Pilots – Perdida


Bands rarely take risks anymore. Many times bands stick to an established formula and fear of change or reprisal from fans keeps the sounds regurgitating and prevents real growth. Then you have a band like Stone Temple Pilots, themselves riding the crest of their major 2019 comeback album, self-titled album, and a triumphant world tour that preceded and followed the release. You couldn’t blame them with all the past tumult if they played it safe and made another mostly rocking album to appease the fans. Stone Temple Pilots Cancel Acoustic Tour Due to Injury


Sad news as Stone Temple Pilots is being forced to cancel their upcoming acoustic headline tour, due to injury. Lead vocalist Jeff Gutt has a severely herniated disc and his doctors have advised immediate surgery, along with several weeks of recovery time and physical therapy. Gutt is expected to make a full recovery, and the band hopes to reschedule the acoustic tour later this year. Ticket holders can seek refunds at point of purchase. The bands’ unplugged album Perdida. Stone Temple Pilots Share New Unplugged Single – “Three Wishes”


Stone Temple Pilots has shared another new single from their upcoming unplugged album, Perdida, due out on February 10th via Atlantic Records. The band recorded the disc at drummer Eric Kretz’s Bomb Shelter Studios. STP utilized a variety of instruments that haven’t been associated with the group in the past, including flute, alto saxophone, guitarrón, viola, cello, and vintage keyboards.
