As we are stuck at home wondering what to do with all this unprecedented free time, I believe that we should invest our time to catch up with all the releases that have come out this year. Actually, I have to get into that myself, there are a lot of releases that I have missed so far this year and Azusa’s Loop of Yesterdays (Solid State Records) was one of them. I’m glad I listened to this album though, it has a very interesting balance between really heavy Melodic Death Metal riffs and progressive/experimental segments that present big ambient soundscapes.

Demon Hunter has been around for a while so they can pretty much do whatever they want. War and Peace (Solid State Records) is proof that they probably shouldn’t. The compilations are polar opposites. War is alright—mildly entertaining filled with your typical Demon Hunter tracks. Metalcore leaders Norma Jean has been chilling of late after ripping up the road on tour earlier last year through late summer. The band recently released a deluxe version of their 2016 album Polar Similar, out now via Solid State Records. As a bonus to fans, the bands shared a brand new song, ‘Children of The Dead’. The track is a crushing, noisy throwback the bands’ earliest and best work, which is perhaps why they left it off Polar Similar. Jam it out below.
