Ex- Guns N Roses Guitarist DJ Ashba Signs a New Record Deal, New Album on The Way
Former Guns N Roses and current SIXX:A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba has signed an exclusive deal with Edgeout Records/Universal Music Group/UMe for his new solo project, which will see him “featuring different singers from different genres on every song.” Although Ashba initially started work on the project as a collaboration with his SIXX:A.M. bandmate James Michael — under the band name Pyromantic, now the project has evolved into an Ashba solo venture, with Michael announcing in 2018 that he was stepping away from the group. Powerman 5000 – New Wave
Powerman 5000 have paved new roads for industrial rock over the years with their genre-blending of rock, metal, industrial, rap, and punk have been their forte since forming in 1991. Previous Powerman 5000 albums are fun with their energetic songs, lyrical shifts and the fluidity of riffs but New Wave (Pavement) tested my patience track after track. I caught a bit of a break with the fourth track, the shortest song ‘Thank God’ had more energy than the entire album… This 1 minute and 13 seconds slightly boosted my tolerance level for the album.
