Watch Metallica and Miley Cyrus Perform “Nothing Eles Matters” on The Howard Stern Show
Metallica performed its classic song “Nothing Else Matters” with pop star Miley Cyrus on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” yesterday morning (Thursday, September 9). You can watch video of the performance below. Miley’s appearance was in celebration of release of the remastered deluxe box set of Metallica’s self-titled fifth album and also features Elton John, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, frequent collaborator Andrew Watt and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. Appearing via video link, Elton told Howard his decision to play piano on the star-studded cover was an absolute “no-brainer.” “This is one of the best songs ever written, to me. It’s a song that never gets old. Playing on this track I just couldn’t wait because the chord structure, the melodies, the time changes — it’s got drama written all over it,” he said. Ozzy Osbourne’s “Ordinary Man” Album Lands on Billboard’s “Top 50 Albums of 2020 So Far” List
Even though pop culture and most of the music industry doesn’t care about rock or metal, mainstream critics sometimes surprise you. Ozzy Osbourne’s comeback album, Ordinary Man, (Epic Records, review here:) has been named to Billboard Magazine’s Top 50 Albums of 2020 So Far list from their staff. Extra special in that accolade is that Ozzy has one of only two Rock albums in the list of mainly Pop, Rap, and Dance music albums; the other being by The Strokes. Ordinary Man was produced and written by Andrew Watt, with other writers and performers such as Chad Smith of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses on bass, with Sir Elton John on vocals and piano, Slash on lead guitar, Tom Morello (RATM) on guitar and Post Malone!

The PMA filled dance track ‘Sine From Above’ features Gaga, a major Elton-o-phile, who once performed a tribute to the artist dressed as Elton, and sing together on the track. Ozzy Osbourne Teases Ordinary Man Video
Ozzy Osbourne has shared a teaser on social media for his upcoming new music video for the title track to his new album, Ordinary Man (Epic Records). The video will premiere next Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 and the track features Sir Elton John, but no hint yet as to whether the fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will also be in the video. In a new interview with Chad Smith of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, we now have a great many more details about Ozzy Osbourne’s new album, Ordinary Man, officially due for release on February 21st via Epic Records. During an appearance on “Volume West”, which airs daily on SiriusXM Volume channel 106 host Lyndsey Parker got Smith to reveal a bunch of details about recording the album with producer Andrew Watt, how he and Duff McKagan came to write and play on the album, that Slash has played on two songs, the current single ‘Straight To Hell’, and the title track ‘Ordinary Man’ which also features Sir Elton John, and more! Ozzy Osbourne Has Worked On a New Song with Elton John
According to his wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne is working on a new song with fellow music legend Sir Elton John. Sharon broke the news of the surprise collaboration was broken earlier today (Monday, January 6) by Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon on her daytime TV talk show “The Talk” Asked by co-host Carrie Ann Inaba what 2020 has in store for Ozzy, Sharon said (see video below): “A lot of good things. Wellness. And to get back with his fans, to get doing what he loves, which is touring and being out there with his fans. And yes, there’s new music, and it’s great. He’s got all his friends playing on it. He’s doing a song with Elton. There’s so much good stuff. Good things.” It is not presently clear if Ozzy’s song with Elton will be included on the Ordinary Man album, which will be released later in 2020 via Epic Records. Elton himself is no newbie to hard rock or metal artists, such as the title track from Alice In Chain’s 2009 album, ‘Black Gives Way To Blue’, which features Elton on piano. Continue reading
