Seton Hall University’s 89.5 is known as “WSOU – Pirate Radio”. Rock and metal fans in the Tri-State area know it to be the home of great music and culture since 1986. WSOU has been in existence since 1948 and has helped launch the careers of every major band you can think of. This Saturday in New Jersey as part of the South Next Festival, a panel examines bands, the music and the culture with some very big names. “Always A Creative Collision: WSOU, Musicians, And The Loud Rock Lifestyle” features Kenny Hickey (Silvertomb/Danzig/Type-O Negative), Benjamin Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan/Party Smasher Inc.), Industry veteran Howie Abrams (Lesser Gods Publishing) and music publicity legend Amy Sciarretto (Atom Splitter PR/ex-Roadrunner Records) and others will share the stage to chat.
