Remembering Chris Cornell – 1964 – 2017


Two years ago Chris Cornell passed away leaving a huge loss in the world. The legacy he left behind with bands like Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave, as well as his chart-topping solo career will never be dimmed. Chris Cornell Died One Year Ago Today


It still seems unbelievable, but Chris Cornell died one year ago today. The music world is still being deeply affected by his loss in the year since he passed away, with tributes coming in and his wife Vicky raising public awareness for mental health and suicide prevention causes. There has rarely been a talent like Chris in the music world, and certainly very few artists with both solo success, and acclaim with three different bands such as Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. Joe Altier Releasing Chris Cornell Tribute EP Next Month


Singer-songwriter Joe “Just Joe” Altier has announced he will release a special EP next month, as a tribute to Chris Cornell,  who passed away on May 18th. All proceeds from Black Hole Sun, The EP  will be donated to Two Brothers’ Light Inc charity in Syracuse, NY where they work towards raising awareness of mental illness and eliminating stigmas surrounding suicide. Norah Jones Releases Chilling Tribute To Chris Cornell, Live From The Fox Theater


Only a week after we lost a legend in Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, the world is still in shock. Tributes have been pouring in with many other artists paying respect in song. Jazz/pop chanteuse Norah Jones performed at Detroit’s Fox Theater, on May 23rd, just days after Cornell’s final performance ever on that very stage, and played a rendition of ‘Black Hole Sun’ in her set.
