Megadeth Launches a New NFT Series Featuring Their Mascot, Vic Rattlehead


Following 2022’s initial release of the Rattleheads NFT and later, Megadeth Digital, Megadeth has announced a new nonfungible token (NFT) collection featuring the band’s mascot, Vic Rattlehead. The 5,000-piece collection will unlock both physical and digital experiences to be had in the metaverse, including one-on-one conversations with the band members. In a video message (transcribed by Blabbermouth.net)  announcing the collection, Megadeth leader Dave Mustaine (transcribed by Blabbermouth.net) said: “Ladies and gentlemen, metalheads and Droogies, the time has come for something unlike anything we’ve ever done before. Megadeth’s New Album Hits Number Three On The Billboard Charts, Tops Other Charts Worldwide and Launches New NFT’s


Megadeth has earned its highest charting album worldwide in the band’s history for the debut of its new album The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! Read our review here. The album has taken the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 marking their eighth Top Ten album of their career, and matching the chart impact of the band’s last album, the Grammy-winning Dystopia. The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!  total Consumption was 47,552, and pure Album Sales were 44,781, placing the album at No.1 on Top Album Sales, Top Current Albums Sales, Top Rock & Alternative Album, Top Rock Albums, and Top Hard Rock Albums charts respectively, and at No. 2 on the Vinyl Album Sales chart.

Megadeth Launches Exclusive NFT Card Packs with The WAX Blockchain


 

Megadeth has announced their debut NFT releases, coming to the WAX blockchain. There will be two exclusive NFT craftable card packs available, an All Access pack, with only 1,500 available, and a General Admission pack, with only 2,500 available. Based on artwork from the last 20 plus years of the Cyber Army and reimagined for the Wax Blockchain, the Megadeth Series 1 NFTs sets a whole new stage for MEGADETH collectibles. Both packs go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 27 at 10AM PST and will be available to purchase for only 72 hours, or while supplies last. The card packs will be delivered after the transaction is complete and can be opened starting Monday, August 30 at 12PM PST. Cyber Army members will get exclusive pre-sale access to a limited number of All Access and General Admission card packs available starting on August 26 at 12PM PST.
