Music Documentary “Beautiful Was The Fight” Set For Boston Screening


Beautiful Was The Fight, the latest documentary by filmmaker Dave Habeeb is set to screen at the Omni Theatre inside The Museum Of Science on May 22nd. The film, which has been enjoying a festival run in the US, and has picked up a number of awards, including the 2023 Telly Silver Award for Cinematography, Editing, and Documentary Feature (Long Form) and was an Official Selection at IFFBoston 2023. The film tells the stories of several women in the Boston music scene and their struggle to achieve equality and success while embracing their identities and finding a voice in the community. Keefy had a chat with Director Toby Amies – to discuss his King Crimson documentary In the Court of the Crimson King, King Crimson at 50 – which was released in October. Toby was granted unprecedented access to King Crimson on their last world tour, documented the story of the band, talked to former and current members, and had a lot of contact with Robert Fripp,  himself. It is produced by Alan Maher and John Wallace for Cowtown Pictures and Peter Worsley for Eagle Rock Films. The film includes will include interviews with Thin Lizzy‘s Eric Bell, Scott Gorham, Darren Wharton, U2’s Adam Clayton, Suzi Quatro, Huey Lewis, Metallica’s James Hetfield and Ultravox’s Midge Ure. Campaign Launched For Documentary Film About Vegans And Veganism In Music


A crowdfunding campaign is launched to support a documentary film about vegans in the music world promoting vegan lifestyle. In addition to raising funds to produce the film Taking Note, they are seeking more artists to interview for the project that already includes members of Against Me, Anti-Flag Fall Out Boy, Arch Enemy, Creeper, Enter Shikari and more.
