ThePulseOfRadio.com is reporting a “well-placed rumor” that any reunion of Guns N’ Roses may not include either the classic lineup, nor members from other early lineups of the band. According to the source, the lineup will certainly feature W. Axl Rose, Slash (Saul Hudson) and Duff McKagan from the original line-up. Beyond that it is unknown if either the reclusive Izzy Stadlin or Stephen Adler would be extended an invitation. Also unknown is whether Matt Sorum, who replaced Adler and was the longest-tenured GNR drummer would be invited back, or if Slash and fan favorite Gilby Clarke might appear as well. Keyboardist Dizzy Reed has continued to play with the latest incarnation of the band, and is assumed to return. A more likely scenario is that the original line-up of the band would be joined by current GNR members drummer Frank Ferrara and guitarist Richard Fortus.
As previously reported by Ghost Cult, Dishnation.com published a news story claiming that the “original lineup” Guns N’ Roses are set to reunite and begin a world tour, with the announcement being just “days away”.
As reported on the website:
“Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band. The live shows is where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings.”
“Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities. Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days. Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect.”
