After nearly a decade between releases, Songleikr returns with a new album, Fuglefolk (Self-Released), a heartfelt and playful collection that leans heavily into original material. While Godtfolk (2016) drew deeply from traditional sources, Fuglefolk is almost entirely self-composed, showcasing richer instrumentation and a more progressive spirit.

The lineup features Maria Franz (also known for her work with Heilung and Euzen), Ingrid Galadriel Aune Falch, Kasia Sikora-Black, and Petter-Olai Østbye Sagen. Together, they build a sound that balances shimmering melodic textures with grounded rhythmic pulse.
