They topped the bill on two nights, with two different shows, including one where they performed all of “The Black Album.” In addtion to upcoming fests like Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville, they also recently played series of rare intimate shows earlier this month at the The Metro in Chicago and The independent in San Francisco. The band texted their fans via a new service and the tickets to the tiny venues, and both shows sold out in less than 1 hour. Metallica just released The Black Album Remastered Boxed Set and The Black Album Blacklist covers album on September 10th, 2021.
