As promised, Maynard James Keenan has released new music with his Puscifer band. HE dropped a new single and a hilarious video for ‘Apocalyptical’, featuring MJK cutting a rug and other weirdness. He gave the first interview on the project’s resurrection to Zane Lowe on “New Music Daily” on Apple Music. In a new interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno chatted for a brief interview “At Home With” playlist. Chino talked about the forthcoming Deftones album, the 10th anniversary of Diamond Eyes, working with longtime producer Terry Date, how the band has stayed together so long and overcome hardships, his approach to vocals, making music every day, and the possibility of re-releasing White Pony. Specifically, Chino cast some doubt on the bands’ new album seeing a summer release without being able to tour behind it. At long last Tool‘s music has finally begun to arrive on streaming services and it appears the band is starting out from their very early days. Their demo 72826 recently arrived via a number of streaming services, including Apple Music, Google Play Music, and YouTube (but interestingly, not Spotify), marking the first time the band’s music has legally been available digitally outside of a soundtrack.Continue reading

Sleep has been teasing a new release for some time and will release a new album today, 4/20 for all their bud loving fans. Sciences will supposedly drop today at the stroke of 12 midnight and you can say you lived to see Sleep follow up their album Jerusalem, which came out 19 years ago. Third Man Records (owned by Jack White) will release the album recorded at God City Studios with Kurt Ballou (High On Fire, Converge). Continue reading
