Los Angeles is the site of The Power Of The Riff Festival this weekend, including a sold-out pre-party tonight celebrating all things uber heavy and underground.

The sold-out pre-party is tonight, Friday, December 16th, with Venice crossover icons Excel who recently released a reissue of their classic album The Joke’s On You. Also added are Despise You and Deth Crux.

Saturday, December 17th will feature a headlining set by Wolves In The Throne Room , Incantation, Peliican, the debut of hardcore supergroup Bloodclot – comprised of John Joseph (Cro-Mags), Todd Youth (Warzone, Murphy’s Law), Joey C. (Queens Of The Stone Age, B’last), And Nick Oliveri (Queens Of The Stone Age, Dwarves), Gag, Necrot, and Crypt Rot.
Sunday, December 18th features headliner Neurosis, back from hiatus Nails, Kowloon Walled City, Gatecreeper, Obliterations, and Lies.
