Babymetal Releasing Trailer For Upcoming Live DVD

Japanese pop-metal outfit Babymetal will their DVD/Blu-Ray Live At Budokhan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse on January 7, 2015. A trailer for the DVD can be viewed here.

The DVD set consists of the band’s Nippon Budokhan performances from March 2014, when the three Babymetal singers/performers became the youngest artists to ever appear at the famed venue.

Live At Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse will be made available in three formats: a DVD/Blu-ray box featuring both Nippon Budokan concerts (with the first dubbed “Red Night” and second “Black Night”); a CD titled Live At Budokan: Red Night containing an audio recording of the first Budokan show (the initial pressing of the CD will include the code to digitally download the new song “The One”, which is a collaboration between BABYMETAL’s production team and guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman of British epic power metallers DRAGONFORCE); and a Limited Box exclusive to the BABYMETAL fan club members, “Live At Budokan ‘Budo-Can’ – The One – Limited Box”, a can-shaped package featuring the DVD/Blu-ray of both nights, plus the exclusive CD “Live At Budokan: Black Night” containing the audio recording of the second Budokhan concert.

Jeff Scott Soto’s SOTO Releasing Album, Streaming Lyric Video For “The Fall”

Jeff Scott Soto’s SOTO will be releasing their debut album Inside The Vertigo on January 30, 2015 via earMUSIC. Watch the lyric video for “The Fall” here.

SOTO is comprised of Jeff’s most current solo band: Jorge Salan (lead guitar), BJ (keyboards, guitars), David Z (bass) and Edu Cominato (drums).

Produced by Jeff Scott Soto, Inside The Vertigo features tracks co-written with his bandmates as well as a of his famous friends/colleagues. Collaborators include guitarists Gus G. (FIREWIND, OZZY OSBOURNE), Jason Bieler (SAIGON KICK), Mike Orlando (ADRENALINE MOB) and Joel Hoekstra (NIGHT RANGER, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA), all of whom perform on their penned tracks for the album. Others appearing as guests/co-writers are Casey Grillo (KAMELOT), Connor Engstrom, Tony Dickinson, Leo Mancini, Hugo Mariutti and Gary Schutt.

Inside The Vertigo was recorded during the latter months of 2013 and mixed/mastered in Boston by Soto’s longtime engineer and friend John Ellis.

Death Engine Streaming Music Video For “Still”

French dark hardcore/noise out Death Engine will release their debut album Mud on March 2, 2015 via Throatruiner Records and Apocaplexy Records. Check out the music video for “Still” here.

The album was recorded by Amaury Sauve at La Senelle, Laval Laval (Birds In Row, As We Draw, Plebeian Grandstand) then mastered by Sylvain Biguet, and the artwork was designed by Hugues Pzzl. Throatruiner Records (France) and Apocaplexy Records (Germany) are teaming up for this release, which will see the light on 12″ vinyl and CD.

Arbitrator is releasing their new album Indoctrination of Sacrilege on February 13, 2015. The album was produced by Sacha Laskow (ex-Divinity, Every Hour Kills) plus mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy) along with album artwork done by Colin Marks (Exodus, Scar Symmetry, Jeff Loomis). ARBITRATOR is a project that began in late 2010 as the brainchild of Robert Kukla and officially debut in 2011 with the EP The Consummate Ascendancy with former drummer Corey Chernesky. Now with a new arsenal that features Kukla on rhythm guitar, bass and vocals with drummer Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork, ex-Devin Townsend Project, ex-Aborted), Myles Malloy on lead guitar and Connor ORT Linning for programming.

Karyn Crisis’ Gospel Of The Witches is streaming “Mother”, off her forthcoming album Salem’s Wounds, out March 9, 2015 in Europe and March 10, 2015 in North America via Century Media Records, here and here.

Salem’s Wounds contains 13 tracks recorded by Karyn together with Davide Tiso (EPHEL DUATH), Ross Dolan (IMMOLATION), Mike Hill (TOMBS) and Charlie Schmid (VAURA).

Salem’s Wounds was financed by fans via websites like Indiegogo/Etsy and was recorded at The Basement Recordings in North Carolina with producer Jamie King (BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, THE CONTORTIONIST).
