US blackened thrash/death outfit, Empty Throne (featuring members/ex-members of influential death metal bands), are getting ready to drop their debut album, Unholy. Formed 2020 around the foundations that built the most powerful genres of extreme metal, Empty Throne is a whirlwind of black, thrash and death metal fused into a unique and refreshing formula. Their old line-up featured Mike Smith (ex-Suffocation) on drums, and Jack Owen (Cannibal Corpse, Deicide), on guitar. Now the line-up has Mike Pardi (guitar – Draconis, ex-Possessed) and Gabe Seeber (drums Kennedy Veil, Abbath), and Jason Ellsworth (bass – Angerot) Music & lyrics and band concept is made by CR Petit (vocals – Angerot). In 2024, the band signed to swedish label Downfall Records to release debut full-length album, Unholy. The album contains 6 strong songs and +40 minutes of the best darkened death/thrash-metal.
