CONCERT REVIEW: Heilung – Live at Lycabittus Theatre

To explain that Heilung was a primal experience is an understatement. It will bring out all kinds of emotions and feelings out into the open between all the music, vocals, and visuals and for the first time, Greece was able to feel this experience.

It was Heiliung’s first time coming to Greece, on October 12th at Lycabittus Theatre, a perfect location which features a beautiful view overlooking the city and right in the middle of nature within Mount Lycabittus. Expressed on their Instagram post in promotion of the show: “We are very excited to announce our very first performance in Greece ever! This will be at the Lycabettus Theatre in the mountains surrounding the historical city of Athens.”

Many fans had come dressed to impress and become one with the show and the experience that comes with it. The set truly did not disappoint any fans as the two-hour performance emitted the primal energy that was readily received and returned within the crowd. The stage setting was beautifully built to look as if we are within nature, and several props were also collected along their journey within the Athenian area to enhance the already astounding natural show.

In German, Heilung means ”healing” and as the band’s sound is something that is classified as experimental music. In addition to their visual performance which is also famously also known as an “amplified history from early medieval Northern Europe,” the combination makes for a wonderful spectacle in watching nature and art become as one.
