Tool Reveals Message About Winter 2016 Tour Dates

Tool-Band-Picture

Tool has released a cryptic message on their website and Facebook account tonight, for the first time acknowledging a possible new headline tour of the USA this winter, a potential idea of the opening band(s) and perhaps the approaching new Tool album, all expected in 2016.

TOOL TOUR VISIONS

SOMETHING WICKED THIS… YOUR WAY COMES!

For those of you who only like NEWS about TOOL, here’s something that should be of great interest. The impenetrable veil of my dark scrying mirror FINALLY CLEARED today – enough so, in fact – that I could perceive a large heptagram on a complexly lit stage where four performers were dwarfed by dramatic video projections. Evidently the sonic and visual extravaganza that I was receiving is a rare glimpse of FUTURE TOOL U.S.A. TOUR DATES in the month of JANUARY, 2016 e.v. However, with some of the images in the depths of the black glass not being clearly distinct… YET, fans will have to keep checking back (SOON) on the Tool websites and Tool facebook page for an official announcement containing a list of the SHOW DATES, CITIES and VENUES, as well as for info about a tour support act(s). Regarding an opening band(s), what I was able to discern through the ever-shifting veil will in all likeliness be exciting to many Tool enthusiasts. STAY TUNED, FOLKS… as my trusty SCRYING MIRROR CONTINUES TO CLEAR…

Members of Tool have been evasive about future plans and tours until now. Recently enigmatic front man Maynard James Keenan gave a rare and wide ranging interview to the Phoenix New Times newspaper in which he offered no release date for a new Tool album.

On the whereabouts of the next Tool album.

“There’s nothing to say. I can’t.”

Tool recently headlined the first Monster Mash Music Festival in Tempe, Arizona on Halloween. To mark the special occasion of the show, the bands’ first performance in 17 months and their only performance of 2015, the band dressed as Led Zeppelin famously did in their 1976 concert film The Song Remains The Same (Swan Song/Atlantic). Opening their rendition of Led Zeppelin’s ‘No Quarter’, Tool played a career spanning set for over two-hours which included a new instrumental song, ‘Descending’. Maynard James Keenan is currently on tor with his other band Puscifer. Puscifer’s new album Money Shot (Puscifer Entertainment) is out now.

In a message to their Facebook page Polish death metallers Decapitated informed fans that they have work Visa problems with the US Immigration office and could not enter the United States in time to perform on the first night of the “We Sold Our Souls To Metal Tour” with Soulfly, Soilwork and Shattered Sun. The tour is not canceled of course, and Soilwork reportedly played an extra long set in at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles to make up for the missing band. Decapitated hopes to clear up the mess and not miss more than a few dates of the tour. Full tour dates are below

Unfortunately, due to delays within the US Immigration office we are still awaiting approvals for our visa petition. We expect to have them imminently – this does mean that we will have to miss the initial few shows.

We apologize to those fans who are missing out but please be assured we are trying everything we can.

After The Burial Announce Tour With The Faceless

12010709_10156125436200574_3453941984952660837_o

In a post to Facebook After The Burial announced their long rumored tour, opening up for The Faceless. Joining them on the tour will be Rings Of Saturn and Toothgrinder.

As you know, we canceled our appearance on the Summer Slaughter tour to spend time with friends and family in an effort to rebuild after the loss of our brother.

Everybody deals with tragedy in their own way, and at their own pace. Each way is unique to that person, but the common goal that all people share is to get back to living a normal life. A normal life to us is being on the road, meeting our fans, and sharing our music with the world.

We’re excited to announce this upcoming tour with The Faceless. It represents a huge step forward emotionally for us in the band. We still have the drive and motivation to deliver music to you guys, and we want you all to be able to look to us for strength.

We wouldn’t be here without your support, and we want to give it back to you. We love you all, and we’ll see you on the road.

ironmaidenbookofsouls2016tourposter

Iron Maiden has announced the first of what expects to be a long string of tour dates in support of the just released, smash hit album Book of Souls (Parlophone). Announcing dates for New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, more date are are soon to be revealed. The band has confirmed previously that a tour of the US will begin in late February. So far all dates will feature The Raven Age in the direct support slot, the band led by Steve Harris’s son George Harris.

Front man Bruce Dickinson has commented on getting Maiden back on the road:

“We cannot wait to get back out on tour.

“When we start in the USA in late February, it will be 19 months since our last show at Sonisphere in the U.K., so we are raring to go.

“Maiden thrive on touring and getting out to our fans, it’s what we do best, so it will be a great feeling to board our new Jumbo Ed Force One with the crew and the gear and head round the globe and get back on stage for you guys.

“We haven’t played in AU and NZ for a number of years, so it will be a pleasure to play for our Antipodean cousins again, irrespective of who wins the dates with destiny at Twickenham in a few weeks’ time!

“Of course, we haven’t decided on the set list as yet and won’t until we start rehearsing, but we really look forward to playing a number of new songs live, especially as the recording was so much live. However, as it’s been a while since we saw you all, I am sure we will include plenty of older fan favorites too. I think the fans will be delighted by what we have in mind. We are also in the middle of creating the new show and rest assured we are working hard to bring you all something spectacular, something with a lot of heart! You certainly deserve it for your patience.”
