Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe To Auction Off His Gold Record For Cancer Research
As we learned earlier this week, Lamb Of God will be releasing a brand new EP on December 2nd. The Duke EP was inspired by the plight of a fan who recently lost his battle against leukemia, and now the band is doing everything they can to raise awareness for those suffering from cancer. Rage Against The Machine Guitarist Honored With Award By ACLU
Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello received an award for social justice by the Southern California chapter of the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) this past Sunday, November 8, 2015 for its Bill of Rights Awards Dinner, alongside actress Kerry Washington (ABC-TV’s Scandal) and attorneys James Obergefell and Mary L. Bonauto will receive the Ramona Ripston Liberty, Justice & Equality Award for their work on marriage equality.
The organization said:
“He joined musicians in suing the U.S. government for using music in interrogations at Guantanamo Bay, and has advocated for workers’ rights and immigrants’ rights. He opposed the exclusion of third party candidates from nationally televised debates, supported the Occupy Movement, and appeared in a video supporting Chelsea Manning, a soldier who disclosed sensitive military and diplomatic documents,”
