Every year the Grammy Awards try to prove that they know what metal is, and for once, the nominations make sense. The 2017 nominees for the “Best Metal Performance” include Baroness for ‘Shock Me,’ Gojira for ‘Silvera,’ Korn for ‘Rotting in Vain,’ Megadeth for ‘Dystopia,’ and Periphery for ‘The Price Is Wrong.’ Plus, Gojira‘ s Magma album is nominated for the “Best Rock Album” too.

Where’s Metallica you ask? ‘Hardwired’ is nominated for the “Best Rock Song” category.
