Anthrax headlines the grand reopening of Brooklyn’s legendary Saint Vitus Bar at 428 Troutman Street in Bushwick on September 4, with the entire show being filmed for posterity. Tickets on sale Friday, August 28. This is New York thrash history in the making 

Anthrax posted the announcement on social media: “We’re honored to be performing at the grand reopening of the legendary Saint Vitus Bar on September 4th. We’ll be filming the entire show, capturing every intimate moment. Bring the mosh and live forever with us in the histories of New York Thrash.”

Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn has been one of New York City’s most beloved heavy music venues since opening in 2012, hosting countless underground and legendary acts in an intimate setting that has always punched well above its size and weight. The grand reopening show with Anthrax, one of the Big Four of thrash metal and New York’s own, is as fitting a celebration as the venue could have asked for.

The show falls days before the September 18 release of Anthrax‘s long-awaited twelfth studio album Cursum Perficio via Megaforce Records, their first new full-length in a decade.
