The new cut from Church Road Records recording artists Inhuman Nature is a crash course in some good old-fashioned thrashin’! Each track is chock-full of all those cool components that make up a killer thrash metal album.
The first thing that will stick out to the listener will be the stella guitar work. This album is a clinic on thrash metal guitar, and that’s putting it lightly. There are tons of moments where you will be reaching out and hitting rewind to hear a particular part again. The inventive stuff brought to the table on this record will be copied by other bands for years to come, and that’s not even touching the solos. The solos elevate the tracks from banger to complete overkill, and again if a guitar fan, you will be spinning these new songs over and over. The drumming is super solid, and at times kind of unbelievable when you think of how fast they are going. Take that and stack it with some of the slower dirtier stuff going on, and it presents us with a killer backend.
The vocals are delivered with a complimentary touch to what the rest of the band is doing, and the dystopian humans as the disease theme permeates throughout. Lastly, Greater Than Death plays from beginning to end as a whole piece, and that adds so much for those who still dig the whole album experience. It’s cool to see bands still holding that torch.
