The Experience Hendrix tour just revealed the musicians who will take part in the 2017 trek, and once again, Zakk Wylde is on that list. Joining the Black Label Society guitarist on this run will be Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Keb’ Mo, Doyle Bramhall II, Ana Popovic, The Slide Brothers, Chris Layton, Noah Hunt, Beth Hart, Henri Brown, Mato Nanji, and more. If that incredible lineup isn’t enough to get you excited for the tour, Billy Cox, of Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band Of Gypsys fame, is going to be holding down the bass parts for the entire show.
As with previous years, this concert will be the ultimate tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Each artist will perform different Hendrix classics, plus they will all jam together on certain tracks too. In other words, if you’re a Jimi Hendrix fan at all, or just want to see some of the best guitar players on the planet, this is the tour for you.
Here’s what Zakk Wylde had to say: “It’s an honor to celebrate Jimi Hendrix’s legacy and greatness with so many other amazing players, who have become great friends and family to me. His influence and inspiration will forever be undeniable!”
