Record Store Day dropped its list years for 2023 (more coverage coming soon) and Metallica participated by having their “security team” deliver and spin test pressings at a special event. Taking place at the famed Electric Ladyland Studios in the West Village, the two new singles from the ban d’s upcoming new album 72 Seasons (Blackened Recordings) “Lux Æterna” and “Screaming Suicide” test pressings were played in public for the first time. Record Store Day launched its list for its April 2023 releases yesterday at the iconic Electric Lady Studios in NYC. Both RSD & Electric Lady were cool enough to let us roll up with the 72 Seasons security team to spin both “Lux Æterna” and “Screaming Suicide” for the first time in public on vinyl.
