Watch Members Of Nirvana Cover Foo Fighters’ Classic Big Me

Nirvana fans got a huge surprise a few days ago at the end of the Foo Fighters concert in Eurgene, OR, as Krist Novoselic joined the band, which includes his former Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl and Pat Smear, for a rendition of the bands’ early hit ‘Big Me’. Watch the video below.

Grohl introduced the song with some history:

“Back in the day, I had this song that I thought might be kind of cool,” Grohl says to introduce the track in the video which can be viewed above. “And we were in our friend Barrett’s studio … no we weren’t, we were at Robert Lang’s studio. And we had nothing to do all day long. I was like, ‘I got an idea…’ and we recorded this song together. It wound up on the first Foo Fighters record. It’s called ‘Big Me’ and it sounds like this.”

It was the first time since the trio performed together in any sense, as Nirvana or another band since their 2014 induction into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain died in 1994, ending the band.
