Morgan Y. Evans comments:

“A girl I knew growing up in Woodstock, NY was tragically murdered years ago,” says project founder Morgan Y. Evans. “She was one of the first people I remember in school to question authority about creativity limitations and was a free spirit, an amazing soul. I worked on this for a very long time to try and find a respectful way to pay tribute and have it come out amazing.”

“Big thanks to everyone who worked on this and to Georgie for the incredible artwork and Aki from Dreamwell for the fantastic mastering job,” Evans continues. “This song was very influenced by 90’s alt rock and stuff like A World Is a Beautiful Place and even a little Soft Kill and Fugazi around the bridge between the top and back half. I hope my friend Carlena hears it and knows she was very loved by people.”
