The version of the track is as hard rock as the best heavy Queen songs, fast and energetic. It sounds borderline heavy metal or power metal and certainly, those genres owe a lot to Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. It looks almost as it if were a show opener in their set, which makes sense, since they might have been sick of playing their humongous hit by the time of this concert. A version in the style of the video was recorded for the BBC sessions and will appear on the new album.
Restored by Queen engineer Kris Fredriksson and mastered by Grammy Award winner Adam Ayan, Queen on Air: The Complete BBC Sessions compiles a 24-song release of tracks they recorded at the BBC during six sessions from 1973 to 1977. releases on November 4th from Mercury Records, and can be pre-ordered at this link.
