Uada are celebrating ten years of their debut album, Devoid of Light, with a remastered anniversary edition due July 17 via Eisenwald, and a co-headlining North American tour alongside Mortiis that kicks off on April 10. Pre-orders for both the reissue and the upcoming acoustic album, Interwoven, are now live.

Originally released in 2016, Devoid of Light was a sharply focused statement — five tracks, just over thirty minutes — that established Uada as a serious force in the black metal underground. The Devoid of Light (10th Anniversary Edition) has been remastered by Arthur Rizk, who previously handled mixing and mastering for Cult of a Dying Sun and mastering for Interwoven. The edition also includes previously unseen photography by Peter Beste, rare archival material, expanded liner notes, and an exclusive bonus track. It arrives on July 17 in CD format and three vinyl color variants.
Separately, Uada’s upcoming acoustic album, Interwoven, has been pushed back from its original April 10 release date due to manufacturing issues, with physical copies now expected in late May. The digital release will still proceed on April 10. The album features one song from each chapter of Uada’s discography alongside a selection of covers and was conceived by founder and frontman Jake Superchi on the very day the band formed in 2014. “The idea was first envisioned on the very day Uada was conceived: October 1st, 2014,” he says. “It was an idea I knew would one day take shape. It had to.”
The album was recorded without rehearsal or a script, with Superchi performing all vocals, guitars, and percussion, Nate Verschoor on bass, and cellist C.E. Brown as a guest. It was engineered and mixed at Obsidian Spells and mastered by Arthur Rizk.
As part of the Interwoven sessions, Uada also recorded a cover of Rome’s “Der Brandtaucher,” which is featured on the album and has been shared ahead of the tour. Superchi notes the song held deep personal resonance: “Having followed Rome since 2008’s Masse Mensch Material, its inclusion was not simply artistic — it was necessary.”
The co-headlining Witches of Dystopia tour with Mortiis runs from April 10 through May 16, with support throughout from Jerome Reuter’s Rome and Wraith Knight. Uada will perform Devoid of Light in its entirety at each show. Mortiis will be performing material from his 2001 album The Smell of Rain. Uada will also appear at Milwaukee Metal Fest on June 7.
