New Jersey deathcore quintet, Torn Open, are closing in on the release of their new EP, Torn The Fuck Open, Vol. 2. It is due on May 1, via the Blue Grape Music record label. The new track is intended to be a hard-hitting introduction to a new era, and not just musically. The single checks all the boxes — creative riffing, a groove that makes you want to punch the guy next to you, and meaningful lyrics that address how political power needs to be directly combatted with violence. Working in tandem with the imagery from the music video, the song creates an astoundingly strong statement, calling out and denouncing the malice inflicted upon many as a product of greed. Also, take a listen for Torn Open’s version of the piq squeal. It’s pretty epic.

The band formed in 2025 and immediately released their debut EP Torn The Fuck Open, Vol. 1., followed with the single “None So Vile.” Along the way, the band caught the attention of Blue Grape Music.

Torn Open have already shared stages with legends like Mortician, as well as Rev3rent, Torture, and more. The band will be touring this spring and summer including a performance at the Milwaukee Metal Fest Pre-Party on June 4.

Torn Open will continue to tear into the metal scene with full ferocity and fangs bared moving forward.
