Danzig’s Elvis Presley Covers Album Due in April, World Tour Dates Planned
Danzig, often very low-key on social media, has updated the fans on the 2020 plans for the band. The post to Facebook filled in some details we previously broke the news about concerning the Verotika Blu-ray and Soundtrack release next month. The post promised the long-in the works Danzig sings Elvis Presley covers album that Jerry Cantrell worked on with the singer. “A few intimate” shows are said to be planned for that release. Danzig has hinted at more solo touring as he ramps up his film projects and winds down his work with the Original Misfits. Also, 2020 marks the 30th anniversary of Danzig II Lucifuge, and we heard in our recent interview with Tommy Victor (Prong) that he was expecting to be on the road with that tour this year and that activity might impact Prong. Ghost Cult caught up with actor and music legend London May to discuss one of his current projects, the award-winning Brutal Realty, Inc. Most people know London for his time in Samhain and other punk and metal bands, but he has had an impressive career as a character actor in dramas, the horror genre, and comedy too! Combining all of these elements, Brutal Realty, Inc. also features Sarah Burns from HBO’s Barry and a fantastic and brutal musical score composed by Sanford Parker (Buried At Sea, Corrections House, Mirrors For Psychic Warfare), Dallas Thomas (Pelican), Bruce Lamont (Yakuza, Corrections House, Sick Gazelle), and Charlie Fell (Lord Mantis, Cobalt). Danzig Says There Won’t Be Too Many More “Original Misfits” Shows, Covers Album Due This Fall
In a new interview with Full Metal Jackie promoting Misfits shows and his new film, Glenn Danzig has revealed future plans that don’t include too many more shows with the current “Original Misfits” lineup of himself and Jerry Only, release plans for his Danzig Sings Elvis covers album due this fall, and details about his experience directing his Verotika movie, which debuted last week in Los Angeles.
