ALBUM REVIEW: While She Sleeps – Sleeps Society


While it may be OK to not be OK, as the main refrain of the thumping anthemic opener ‘Enlightenment?’ insists (and while it absolutely is, we still have much work to do as a collective mass to support each other), Sleeps Society (Sleeps Brothers, in assoc. with Search & Destroy, Spinefarm, UNFD, Universal) takes a step and seeks to provide a place, a community packed with a kinship of like-minded souls who will be there with and for each other. It would be easy for the Sleeps Society (a Patreon-based family) to be empty words and hollow platitudes, but there is integrity to the missives that are as important to the overall point of While She Sleeps in 2021 as the songs. Frank Iero And The Future Violence Share New Single, New EP Incoming


Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) and The Future Violence (AKA Future Violents) has shared a new single and visualizer – “Sewerwolf!” The track comes from the group’s forthcoming EP Heaven is a Place, This is a Place. Serving as a companion piece to 2019’s full length, Barriers, the EP is due out January 15, 2021 via UNFD, is split into two distinct movements. The EP features Evan Nestor on guitar and backing vocals, Murder By Death’s Matt Armstrong on bass, Thursday’s Tucker Rule behind the drum kit, and Kayleigh Goldsworthy on keys, mandolin, and violin. Silverstein Announces Rescheduled North American Tour Dates, New Album Out Now!


Silverstein just released their killer new album A Beautiful Place To Drown, out now via UNFD. The band had booked a special 20th Anniversary tour, featuring three sets from the legendary band, with direct support from Four Year Strong, and I The Mighty. Now the band has rescheduled the tour dates that were canceled or postponed for July and August with continued support slots from Four Year Strong and I The Mighty. Listen To Void of Vision and Friends Cover “Psychosocial” by Slipknot


Metalcore upstarts Void of Vision had dropped a new single today! They shared a crushing cover of Slipknot’s hit “Psychosocial”. The track features steller guest-starring spots from Marcus Bridge (Northlane), Sean Harmanis (Make Them Suffer) and Ryan Siew (Polaris). The collaboration comes as part of a Metal Hammer compilation CD paired with the magazine’s special Slipknot edition last month. The likes of Cursed Earth (“People=Shit”), Hacktivist (“Duality”) and Employed To Serve (“Purity”) also lend their skills to the CD, resulting in an absolutely pummeling compilation of covers.Continue reading
