Former Amon Amarth Drummer Takes Shots At Former Band Over DVD Snub


Drummer Fredrik Andersson, who left Amon Amarth in 2016, has taken exception to the career-spanning DVD his former band is releasing soon. Andersson is taking umbrage about being excluded from the DVD. Although he was asked to participate by the director, he was insulted at the amount of time he was asked to participate and how little his career with the band would be included. The DVD is releasing this fall. Andersson continues to play in melodic Swe-death metal band Netherbird, who has a new album coming soon, This Ending and other projects since leaving the band.Continue reading


Amon Amarth To Release “The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm” DVD


Long-running Viking inspired death metallers Amon Amarth will release The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm via Nuclear Blast this November. The band shared some of the marketing campaign for the release going live as an announcement. The DVD and Blu-Ray package will feature a full-length concert from the band’s 2017 performance at the Summer Breeze festival in Dinkelsbühl, Germany, a documentary about their history and more. The band is currently writing the follow-up to 2016’s Jomsviking (Metal Blade Records) for a possible 2019 release.Continue reading
