Scowl and Others Booked for Flatspot Records Showcase at SXSW



Pivotal hardcore label, Flatspot Records, have announced an official South By Southwest showcase on the outdoor stage at Mohawk, Austin, TX, on March 16th . The show is headlined by alternative meets hardcore-punk band Scowl, joined by a number of Flatspot labelmates, including End It, Life’s Question, Buggin and Kharma. South By Southwest to Host to Sydney Event for The First Time This Fall


  

South by Southwest (SXSW), one of the most important music, tech, and culture events in the world has announced its expansion outside of North America, to Sydney Australia this fall. the festival will take place from October 15th to the 22nd, 2022.  More details for Sydney to come. The fest also announced dates for the 2023 event back in Austin as well.

South By Southwest Announces Virtual SXSW Online XR


Music and technology festival South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals (March 16-20, 2021) unveiled the SXSW Online XR world and programming as part of the 2021 event. The condensed, fantastical artist representations of Congress Avenue and the Red River Cultural District, using the SXSW 2021 look and feel, will showcase live panels, Meet Ups, special events, a selection of 360° videos from the Virtual Cinema program, as well as 2D video feeds of SXSW programming.

Amanda Palmer Interviews Lingua Ignota, Podcast Launching Soon!


Musician artist and activist Amanda Palmer has shared a podcast interview with Lingua Ignota. The episode is a teaser of Amanda’s forthcoming podcast series, launching sometime this fall. Palmer highlights the music of Lingua Ignota, a.k.a. Kristin Hayter and discusses how she became a fan, and then interviews the artist where they connected on many subjects. They chatted when Kristin opened for AFP at South By Southwest this past spring. Her new album Caligula released on July 19th via Profound Lore Records.
