Salted Wounds Releases Their Lost 1999 EP “Dead Alive” to Bandcamp

New York City’s Death Metal/Hardcore group Salted Wounds (Laceration, Sun Descends, Red Heart Field, 6 Hours, Grunt BX) has released its long out-of-print 1999 EP Dead Alive on Bandcamp! A release on other streaming platforms is imminent. Originally released on limited-run cassettes and CDs, they brought together a sound that is quintessentially New York: NYHC, Thrash, and Death Metal and the self-described genre “Ghetto Metal.” The band made their name gigging incessantly around the tri-state area while getting coveted opening slots for Hatebreed, Dying Fetus, Skinlab, and Biohazard among others. The band was famously named by Metallica frontman James Hetfield in 1995. Salted Wounds also provides the theme music for Ghost Cult’s interviews. Jam out to the Dead Alive EP today!
