Baroness has announced the release Live at Maida Vale BBC – Vol. II, a limited edition vinyl release featuring four tracks from the band’s Fall 2019 session at the famed London studio, as part of this year’s Record Store Day Black Friday event (Nov. 27, Abraxan Hymns). The release features black splatter vinyl with an etched b-side, custom artwork created by Baroness’ John Baizley, and will retail for $23.98.
We have been blessed with a lot of great Mastodon news of late, from celebrating their 20th anniversary, their new song on the Bill And Ted Face The Music soundtrack – “Rufus Lives”, to the band hitting the studio to work on full-length number eight. So 2020 seems like a good time for a good old odds and sods release, the cleverly titled Medium Rarities (Reprise).
Beastie Boys recently celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their Ill Communication (Grand Royal) album. The band is now releasing a special single version of their classic track ‘Sabotage’ as a RSD3 3-inch. The release date is July 19, 2019, and the initial pressing is limited to 2500 items. The RSD3 mini-turntable record players were a special collaboration made in conjunction with Record Store Day 2019 and players can be bought at participating dealers.
