Gary Holt of Exodus Confirms Steve ”Zetro” Souza Was Fired From The Band – “The Marriage Was Done And Over”



Gary Holt has confirmed that Steve “Zetro” Souza was fired from Exodus, commenting in a post to social media that the “marriage” between the singer and the rest of the band was “done and over.” Last month Exodus announced it had “parted ways” with Zetro and had been rejoined by Robb Dukes. both the band and Dukes had commented about the occasion, but Zetro had remained quiet. Last week in a comment to his own post Zetro confessed he was let go, not that he had quit. Now Holt has confirmed that Zetro was let go because the relationship had ended, though he wished him well. Zetro out – Robb Dukes in!

Exodus have announced the departure of vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza. In a major shock to the thrash metal world, Rob Dukes, (2004-2014) is back in the band. Zetro joined Exodus in 1986 and stayed until until 1993, returning from 2002-2004 and leaving after the recording of Tempo of The Damned. Zetro infamously quit the week before the tour for that album. Founding Exodus vocalist Paul Baloff died in 2022 following a stroke that left him in a coma.
