The Recording Academy, the organization behind The Grammys, will give a Lifetime Achievement Award to Black Sabbath next spring, along with George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Billy Eckstine, Donny Hathaway, Julio Iglesias, Sam & Dave, and Dionne Warwick. Although The Grammy’s award both Rock and Metal, these awards have been regulated to the awards not announced on the television broadcast and most rock or metal bands don’t perform on the pop-driven show.
