Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Red Hot Chili Peppers To Perform At ‘Global Goal Live’ Concert In September 2020


In 2020 Metallica has announced they will take part in the Global Citizen’s 10-hour “Live Aid”-style concert event happening on September 26, 2020 on five continents: Central Park in New York, Lagos in Nigeria, and to-be-announced cities in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. The event will be the culmination of a yearlong campaign dubbed “Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream” that will benefit United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals with aims at ending extreme poverty and tackling climate change. Also set to perform are Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Eddie Vedder, MUSE, Ozzy Osbourne, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pharrell Williams with co-hosts for the event Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh Jackman, Idris Elba, Jill Vedder, Katie Holmes, Rachel Brosnahan, Trevor Noah, and Uzo Aduba.Continue reading

In a new feature by music industry bible Pollstar that track touring, album and merch sales Metallica is now arguably the biggest band in the world, certainly when it comes to touring.  Metallica has sold more than 22 million concert tickets since 1982, grossing more than $1.4 billion in the process. Ozzy Osbourne Has Completed His New Solo Album!


In a new interview, Ozzy Osbourne has shared that he completed his new solo album, expected for release in 2020. Ozzy has only released boxed sets and compilations since 2010’s Scream (Vertigo). His last new album of material he was part of was Black Sabbath, released in June of 20133. Speaking to The Sun, Ozzy said that guesting on rapper Post Malone’s new album after a fight with pneumonia left him in intensive care earlier this year gave him a new lease of life.Continue reading

Bill Ward Shares Message of Love to Black Sabbath, Proposes Reunion of Classic Lineup


Legendary Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward has shared a brief video clip on social meida, expressing his love for the other founding members of the band: Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Ozzy Osbourne. He claims he would be open to any chance to reunite and perform together again. Ward was excluded from the bands’ “The End” farewell tour after initially agreeing to participate in the dates. The band has retired from touring, mostly due to health concerns from Iommi and Osbourne, but have not ruled out one-off gigs and festivals in the future. The band has been featured at events recently for the 50th anniversary of the founding of the group, such as the Hall of Heavy Metal exhibition and the Black Sabbath Bridge and Bench unveiling in their hometown of Birmingham, UK. Even Ozzy has recently expressed a desire to play with Bill again, so hopefully, this moves it closer to reality. Continue reading
