Tool, currently on tour in support of their acclaimed 2019 album Fear Inoculum (read our review here), will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first commercially-available release, Opiate, with a re-imagined and extended version of the EP’s title track and an accompanying short film. For Tool fanatics, this is the much loved extended version the band performs live. ‘Opiate2’ (or Opiate squared) is available via DSPs right now!, with the Blu-ray only visual companion available on March 18th.

Tool Has Recorded A New Version Of 1992 Track Opiate, Video To Follow Soon


Tool guitarist Adam Jones has posted a video to his Instagram account of him working on a revised version of the title track from their 1992 EP, Opiate (Volcano). The band has also produced a music video for the new version of the song that will see a release sometime soon.Continue reading
