Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Go Betty Go are sisters Nicolette (lead vocals) and Aixa Vilar (drums), Betty Cisneros (guitar), and Michelle Rangel (bass). The band caught the attention of SideOneDummy Records and released their debut EP , Worst Enemy in 2004. They toured seemingly nonstop from coast to coast behind it before entering the studio with producer Ted Hutt (Flogging Molly) to lay down a full-length album. The resulting record, Nothing Is More, was released in September 2005, accompanied by more touring with stints on the Vans Warped Tour, television appearances, song placements on various TV shows/movies and video games. After a long hiatus the girls are back, road ready and revitalized.

Go Betty Go Streaming “It Haunts You Now”

Go Betty Go are streaming “It Haunts You Now,” off their new EP Reboot, produced by Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Flogging Molly) out January 27, 2015, here.

The Latina quartet is about to re-establish themselves as one of punk rock’s original forces. A gloriously rough and tumble recording bristling with the band’s characteristic elegant, melodic aggression, a compelling showcase for Betty Cisneros’ big, roaring guitar, singer Nicolette Vilar’s soulful, siren call and the momentous urgency of Michelle Rangel’s bass and Aixa Vilar’s tumultuous drumming.

Formed in 2000 out of high school in Glendale, CA, they cut their teeth at local shows at standing room only residencies at Los Angeles punk rock dive bar Mr. T’s Bowl to venturing onto South By SouthWest, two lengthy Warped Tours, and frequent appearances in Mexico.

Now with the return of Nicolette Vilar since 2005’s Nothing is More debut on SideOneDummy Records, the girls are poised to reclaim their rightful prominence as some of the brightest, boldest women in punk rock.
