Metalcore is quite the saturated genre in 2023, with plenty of micro-genres of its own sprouting across. Melodic Metalcore has been one that has really had another bout in the past five years with the likes of Bad Omens, Holding Absence, Catch Your Breath, and countless others taking inspiration from the likes of Atreyu and more recently and notably, Bring Me The Horizon.
The late 2000s and early 2010s had a surge of metalcore and melodic metal genres. As the genre reached its peak, there was no shortage of upper-echelon talented vocalists who were the hallmark of the era. Former Of Mice & Men guitarist Shayley Bourget‘s range, control, and warbling vocal vibrato caused his talents to stand out amongst the never-ending horizon of unclean/clean dual-vocalist bands.
Louisiana Melodic Metalcore band Endure The Affliction will release their new single tomorrow, August 6th, 2021, “Identity” – which you can hear at Ghost Cult today. The track is the first taste of new music from their upcoming new EP, due later in 2021. Blending heavy, aggressive tracks, with catchy tunefulness; the band also values their Southern roots and influences in their writing. Jam out to “Identity” right now!
