As first reported by Sick Drummer on social media, Gruesome drummer Gus Rios has been admitted to a Florida hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. Gus updated fans over social media and seems upbeat and positive he will beat this virus that as of today has killed 220,000+ Americans. We are big fans of Gus, the masterful Death metal drummer of many past bands, producer, and writer, who has two releases this year. He played on the Exhumed/Gruesome split and also wrote, produced, and performed on the excellent, but underrated Liquid Death album, Greatest Hates earlier in the year! Get well soon Gus!

GWAR to Host “Scumdogs XXX Live” Streaming Event


As the mighty mutant overlords, GWAR approaches the 30th-anniversary release of their classic Scumdogs of the Universe Deluxe Edition release via Metal Blade on October 30th, the band has announced a special event. This past weekend saw GWAR play their first-ever drive-in shows at the Diamond in Richmond, VA. More events may develop in the future. “Scumdogs XXX Live” live streaming concert event, presented by Liquid Death and Metal Injection. The livestream it set for the night of the release, Friday, October 30th with the pre-show starting at 6:00 PM Eastern. The live stream performance kicks off at 8:00 PM Eastern.
