Foo Fighters to Reopen The 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. This Week


The Foo Fighters will reopen legendary Washington DC music venue The 9:30 Club tomorrow, Thursday, September 8th 2021. Foo Fighters also reopened Madison Square Garden earlier this year and have played concerts from Lollapalooza, and just co-headlined BottleRockNapa, have announced a special homecoming show, as frontman Dave Grohl grew up in the area, and played in DC punk band The Scream, before joining Nirvana.

Watch Foo Fighters Cover Queen Classic “Somebody To Love”


Foo Fighters closed out the awesome BottleRockNapa Music, Food, Wine and Brew Festival in Northern California on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 and our review is coming soon! In a set heavy with early classic mateiral, hits, new album favorites, and covers, the Foos pulled out the big guns, as in drummer Taylor Hawkins on lead vocals, as they often do. Swapping with Dave Grohl, who jumped on the drums, Hawkins led the band in a fiery cover of Queen’s classic song “Somebody To Love!” Check it out!

Bonnaroo Festival 2021 Cancels Following Flooding and Heavy Rains from Hurricane Ida 


Tough news for the annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee, as they have been forced to cancel this year’s event, citing flooding from heavy rains. Last year’s event was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The festival had already lost some featured performers such as Lana Del Ray, Janelle Monáe, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, due to pandemic fears, but has set to host a lineup that still boasted Foo Fighters,  Lizzo, Run The Jewels, Primus, Mastodon, Remiwolf, Tyler The Creator, Deadmaus Uncle Acid And the Deadbeats and many more. The festival, which was to celebrate 20 years this year, was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic and originally, they were not going to allow fans to roll their tickets over to a second year in 2022. Foo Fighters Book UK Tour Dates for 2022 


Foo Fighters have announced a string of stadium shows for the United Kingdom next summer. The pre-sale for all shows begins this Wednesday, 18th of August at 10am BST and the Public on sale begins on Friday, 20th of August at 9am BST. Direct support on these arena show will come from St. Vincent, Loose Articles, Shame, Courtney Barnett and Hot Milk at assorted shows. The band will perform a sold-out show tonight on Anchorage, Alaska. The band released their new album  Medicine At Midnight, this spring.

Watch Dave Chappelle Cover Radiohead’s “Creep” On Stage with Foo Fighters


Comedian Dave Chapelle joined Foo Fighters on stage at Madison Square Garden for their show last night, June 20th, 2021. They covered the Radiohead pop rock classic “Creep” with Dave on lead vocals. Dave is actually a skilled Jazz pianist who used to personally chose the musical guests on his series Chappelle Show series. Chappelle, who was in New York City to premiere his new documentary, “Dave Chappelle: This Time This Place”, at the Tribeca Festival, previously sang “Creep” live several times over the years. Foo Fighters To Release Bee Gees Covers Album for Record Store Days 


Perennial pranksters and Rock n Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters will release a Bee Gees covers album, under the moniker Dee Gees for Records Store Day Drop #2 on July 17th, 2021. Hail Satin – a limited edition vinyl album packaged era-appropriately in a dazzling rainbow mylar sleeve, the album promised to be a party album for summertime. Recorded at Foo Fighters’ 606 studios, Side A features faithful renditions of five Bee Gees tracks “You Should Be Dancing,” Night Fever,” “Tragedy” and “More Than A Woman” + Andy Gibb’s “Shadow Dancing. Side B contains live at 606 renditions of roughly half of their new album, Medicine At Midnight.

Foo Fighters Book Anniversary Tour for This Sumer


The Foo Fighters have announced the first rescheduled dates of their 2020 tour, which was meant to honor the 25th anniversary of the band and their debut album. The now 26th-anniversary tour will kick off July 28 – The Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center in Cincinnati, OH. More dates will be announced soon. Direct support will come from Radkey. Jay-Z, Foo Fighters and The Go-Gos to Be Inducted in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Iron Maiden and RATM Get Snubbed


 

Ever controversial, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2021 inductees have been announced. JAY-Z, Foo Fighters, Tina Turner, the Go-Go’s, Todd Rundgren, and Carole King will all be inducted. It marks the second induction for Dave Grohl (previously with Nirvana), Turner (previously with Ike Turner), and King (previously with Gerry Goffin). Turner and King follow Stevie Nicks as the only women to be inducted multiple times. Those nominated include metal icons Rage Against the Machine, and Iron Maiden, along with Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Chaka Khan, Fela Kuti, New York Dolls, and Dionne Warwick. The Rock Hall has rarely gotten it right for Rock and Heavy Metal and of bands that are officially in the metal genre, only Black Sabbath and Metallica are in. Ozzy Osbourne genius guitarist Randy Rhodes will be induced in The Musical Excellence Award with LL Cool J, Billy Preston, and Randy Rhoads. Music executive Clarence Avant is this year’s Ahmet Ertegun Award, honoree.
