Hall of Fame singer-songwriter-guitarist David Crosby, a founding member of hugely influential 1960s bands, The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash/Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), has died. He was 81 years old. News of his death has been shared by a statement from his wife to Variety.com. Twice inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Crosby spend 50-plus years shaping Folk, Rock, and Pop music with his voice and guitar playing. Although he had some struggles with sobriety and legal issues with drugs from the 1970s-1990s and discussed a retirement from performing, he had been making new music the last few years and might have at least one full album recorded for release at the time of his death. RIP.
