Andols Herrick, one of the preeminent drummers of the New Wave of American Metal for his time with Chimaira in the early 2000s, has had to step down from his original plan to play Chimaira Christmas 15. The band used to play hometown shows at the end of every year for the majority of their career, but after a few years of hiatus, the full classic lineup of the band was to reunite this week for the show. Herrick has been battling declining health for several years and will be replaced for the sold-out show on December 30^th, at the Agora Ballroom by Austin D’Amond, the most recent drummer for the band.
