After Ghost Cult broke the news yesterday, Judas Priest legend Rob Halford confirmed he will release an all-new album, dubbed Celestial, credited to Rob Halford with Family and Friends, due out October 18th via Legacy Recordings. Halford will host an exclusive in-store event, signing CD or LP purchases of the album at FYE Arizona Mills at 2:00 P.M (in Tempe, Arizona). Details to follow closer to the event. The album will also be available for pre-order on Rob’s artist store – with exclusive merchandise and a limited, autographed metallic-gold color version of the vinyl. Rob Halford of Judas Priest has revealed via a post on social media that he is releasing a new holiday album, Celestial! The “Metal God” posted that he will reveal all the details of the album at 9 PM PST tonight (9/5/2019) on Instagram. He released Halford III: Winter Songs in 2009 and his last solo release followed a year later with Halford IV: Made of Metal. Watch ISIS Perform For The First Time Since 2010 At Tribute To Caleb Scofield
Post-metal legends ISIS reunited last night under the guise of “Celestial” at the Caleb Scofield tribute Concert at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. last night. It was the first time since 2010 when the band broke up after touring behind their album Wavering Radiant. They played an incredible set featuring songs from Celestial, and Oceanic. Also appearing last night were Caleb’s bands Cave In, Old Man Gloom, as well as Pelican and 27. The event was streamed live. Watch below. Isis’ set starts at 2:55:28. A Second Benefit For Caleb Scofield Booked For Los Angeles Next Fall
Tonight in Boston a sold-out benefit show for late Cave-In, Old Man Gloom, Zoroaster basisist Caleb Scofield takes place featuring Cave In, Converge, Old Man Gloom and others. Now a second event is planned at The wiltern in Los Angeles, this October 13th. The LA benefit show again features performances by Scofield’s bands: Cave In and Old Man Gloom as well as longtime friends and collaborators, Pelican and 27 (featuring Cave In’s Adam McGrath). The tribute also includes a one-time performance by the members of ISIS, who will play under the Celestial moniker, a nod to the influential outfit’s debut album of the same name. This is the band’s first performance since they played their final show in June of 2010. These shows support Caleb’s family, and numerous benefits, fund raisers and tributes have been organized since his sudden, tragic passing the march.
