“Metallica Mondays” Continue Tonight With Outside Lands 2017 Concert Stream and Charity Drive

So far, Metallica’s MetallicaMondays streaming concert series has not only been a hit with fans, it has enabled the band to raise over $25,000 in the first three weeks of concerts. Streaming on both the bands’ Facebook and YouTube accounts, tonight will feature their legendary 2017 headline concert at their Hometown Outside Lands Festival, celebrating today’s 150th anniversary of San Francisco’s beloved Golden Gate Park! You may have caught a tease of the show last weekend when three songs streamed during GoldenGatePark150.com’s virtual classic concert series, conducted in celebration of our beloved hometown landmark. Tonight we’ll be streaming the complete set. Streaming starts at 5 PM PDT / 8 PM EDT, but don’t worry if you can’t make it. The show will be on demand for you to enjoy all week! Metallica Has Rescheduled their 2020 All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert

Metallica has issued a message to fans regarding their 2020 All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert charity event and auction. Originally their concert was rescheduled for March 28th, but now will take place on September 12, 2020, still at the Masonic in San Francisco. You can read the message below. Aside from the second All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert, the only gigs Metallica has officially booked so far in 2020 are the five Danny Wimmer Presents festivals, of which the band will headline two nights at each, performing different setlists. Following the two S & M2 shows last September, the band canceled their shows in Australia and New Zealand as James Hetfield entered rehab.

Groundbreaking Metallica Scholars Initiative Enters its Second Year

After year one the Metallica Scholars Initiative with exceptional results including job placement rates exceeding 90%, the legendary Thrash and Heavy Metal has confirmed a second year of its support of community colleges and their career and technical education programs — featuring the expansion of the program from 10 to 15 schools, as well as the addition of matching grants from new partners. The Metallica Scholars Initiative was created in 2019 through a partnership between Metallica ‘s All Within My Hands foundation (AWMH) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), a Washington, D.C. based organization representing the country’s more than 1,000 community colleges. 10 colleges from communities that had supported Metallica during its recent U.S. tours were selected via a competitive application process, each receiving $100,000 toward programs designed to support students training to enter the American workforce. Metallica Donates $279,000 to a Romanian Pediatric Hospital

As they have done for the last two years since founding the All Within My Hands charity (AWMH), Metallica has donated money to needy organizations the world over during their World Wired Tour. According to a published report, Metallica has donated a quarter-of-amillions Eueros (279,000 USD) to a pediatric hospital in Romania this week. 

According to Reuters, Metallica has donated 250,000 euros (approximately $279,000) to a Romanian association building the country’s first pediatric oncology hospital.The band made the donation to Daruieste Viata (Give Life) ahead of the its sold-out concert on Wednesday (August 14) at Arena Națională in Bucharest.

In every city they perform in, Metallica collects and donates money to local services. It also provides a mechanism for Metallica’s fans to become engaged in philanthropy and volunteerism. The foundation is focused on supporting sustainable communities through workforce education (in addition to combatting hunger through an alliance with Feeding America), and is fully supported by the band, the AWMH board, and by fans. All expenses of the foundation are covered by the band, the board, and a few special friends so that 100% of donations go to the organizations it supports.
