The Tragically Hip to Re-issue Expanded Boxset of “Up To Here” for 40th Anniversary


The Tragically Hip are closing in on the release of the commemorative boxset of their Diamond-certified debut album, Up To Here. The latest installment of special deluxe packages. Up To Here was originally released September 5, 1989. It spawned two Canadian rock radio #1 singles, “Blow at High Dough” and “New Orleans is Sinking,” and earned them a JUNO Award for “Most Promising Artist” in 1990. The four-LP box set, as well as a three-disc CD format, will be released on Friday, November 15. Find out more below.

Pleasure Forever Share Their Single “An Exact Seance” – Reissued Albums “The Devil’s Pleasures” and “Bodies Need Rest” Coming Soon



Former Bay Area trio, Pleasure Forever, have announced that they will reissue their early catalog and rarities – The Devil’s Pleasures (TroubleMan Unlimited records) and Bodies Need Rest (Conspiracy Records). This includes bringing the materials to streaming services for the first time. The Devil’s Pleasures will be available for download and streaming on December 20, 2024, and Bodies Need Rest will be available for download and streaming on November 8th, 2024, via Permanent Teeth Records They have also shared the first related single, “An Exact Seance,” from The Devil’s Pleasures. Jimmy Eat World to Release Anniversary Editions of Their Albums “Futures” and “Surviving”



Beginning October 21, Jimmy Eat World are releasing the 20th anniversary vinyl edition of their gold-certified fifth studio album, Futures (2004 – Interscope Records), and the 5th anniversary vinyl version of their 10th studio album, Surviving (2019 – RCA Records). The band also performed Futures from start to finish Oct. 17 in their hometown of Phoenix, AZ at The Van Buren. Testament Hosting Meet-and-Greet in Brooklyn – On Tour with Kreator and Possessed Now



Thrash legends, Testament recently kicked off a North American tour run, but take a break on October 9th for at meet-and-greet at Duff’s, Brooklyn, from 9 to 11pm. Excel Are Re-releasing Their Long Lost Album “Seeking Refuge”



California crossover originals, Excel, are dropping a re-issue of their long-out-of-print album, Seeking Refuge, via Southern Lord records. Originally released in 1995, it offers a glimpse at an Excel many have never heard before, complete with a guest shot from H.R. of Bad Brains (on “Take Your Part  Gotta Encourage”) and a video starring Tony Alva for the anthemic single “Unenslaved.” The album was reissued for Record Store Day 2024, and sold out. Dark Funeral Share a Re-recorded Version of “Open The Gates” – 30th Anniversary Edition of Debut Album Coming Soon



After three decades, Sweden’s  Dark Funeral are set to release a re-worked version of their eponymous debut album. The black metal icons will drop Dark Funeral (30th Anniversary Edition) on August 09th, via Century Media Records. The album was remixed by David Castillo and re-mastered once again by Thomas “Plec” Johansson.
