Today, Another Planet Entertainment is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking new outdoor, live music experience in Golden Gate Park. Granted by the City of San Francisco, this will be the first-ever concert to take place in the park after dark. This exclusive concert, produced in association with Live Nation, takes place on Saturday, August 17th from 3pm – 10pm. The iconic lineup will be anchored by Alt Rock cultural icons, System Of A Down and Deftones. Joining them will be The Mars Volta, Viagra Boys and VOWWS. Artist presales will commence Wednesday, April 10th at 10am PT with an Another Planet Entertainment presale starting Thursday, April 11th at 10am PT. The on sale for the general public will kick off Friday, April 12th at 10am PT. Ticket prices range from $169 to $399 and are available via the ticket links below.

This exhilarating live show will take place in Golden Gate Park’s Polo Field where fans can enjoy the large-scale live experience under the stars and among the trees in this iconic location. The concert series will provide key economic benefits for San Francisco, while helping contribute to the prevention of cuts to City parks and programming.

Golden Gate Park Concerts at the Polo Field marks System Of A Down’s only performance this year outside of their own sold out Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas.

Since 1967, Golden Gate Park has served as the setting for some of the world’s most legendary artists. Prior daytime concerts at the Polo Field included Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Neil Young. Producers are thrilled to be able to offer music fans this new, nighttime concert programming. 

“We are excited to be bringing such an iconic lineup to the city and what better venue than Golden Gate Park,” said Allen Scott, President of Concerts and Festivals at Another Planet Entertainment. “We are expecting fans from not just the Bay Area but from across the US and internationally to travel to the city injecting money into the local economy. Fans will also be able to choose between GA and VIP ticket packages with tickets starting at $169 plus fees for a GA ticket. This is a general admission event, no reserved seating.
